Favorite "our teacher lets us..." stories?

So, we all know when we show up as subs that we get a variation of "we don't have any rules in our class". What is your favorite?

I love, "our teacher lets us sit wherever we want". That tends to come from older kids, especially when a seating chart is provided. One of these days I'm going to flat out ask the group if that story ever works for them.

"Our teacher lets us listen to our Ipods. Our teacher lets us come in late every day. Our teacher doesn't make us do any work. Our teacher lets us talk the whole period 'cause she's nice like that." Lol.

Student Teacher For Those Kids
Actually some teachers do let their students listen to their ipods. I've been to a couple of classes and the students have said that I could leave a note to the teacher saying they were listening to ipods. I learned that if all the students actually said that, then their teacher does let them. I even saw one teacher one time when I showed up early to take over the rest of his classes let his students listen to ipods and eat food.

My reply to that would be "Maybe your other teacher lets you listen to your iPod in their class but in my class iPods aren't allowed."

Yep, my daughters' math teachers let them listen to iPods, provided the instructional part of the lesson is over.

"Our teacher lets us jump out the [second story] window."
"Our teacher doesn't make us do anything."
"Our teacher lets us work together on tests."

Interestingly, in my experience the ones that sound outrageous but turn out to actually be allowed by the teacher are prefaced with "Coach lets us..." Perhaps it's a coincidence.
