The calendar sounds like a fantastic gift...alot of work though  like keeping track of the pictures and making sure that everyone has 12, etc...
It's an awesome idea though.

Sandra, my fourth year teaching, instead of making the handprint calendar, I just made a book of hand print poems. I didn't include the calendar portion. So, for each month, one of the art activities was to make the hand print page. Then, I would hang it up and display it. It looked really cute. Then, at the end of the year I put the pages together and it went home on Open House.
To keep them organized I put them in a file folder that I had for each kid and their projects.

I use a 2 Hole Punch at the top and tie a bow with wire edged ribbon.
