Have you searched teachertube or something like that. I can't remember. Google has video uploads, too. Before youtube was allowed in our system, it would sometimes load on google. Go figure.

Is there someone in your tech dept who could help you over-ride the block? Once you figure out how to download it to share, you may want to run it by admin . There are MANY great things on YouTube and i'm sure what you want to show is of educational value. While my school has it locked (mostly to prevent inappropriate student access), teachers have been told how to over-ride the block. It's nice to have that professional choice available to us, with the knowledge that with such freedom comes responsibility. I don't know the climate of your school...be guided accordingly. :)

This is how I am able to use YouTube. Each teacher in my school has an override account. I, too, would ask for an override to your account.

Is there a way you-- or someone else-- can download it onto teachertube?

This is what I was going to say. My tech department emailed us this week and shared some sites that let you save YouTube videos and then share them at school. This was one of them.

    The other one was: http://www.savevid.com/

I use saveyoutube.com. You don't have to download a program, you just post the url of the video and choose the size/speed you want to download. I've used it several times this year and it works great!
