What are your New Year School related resolutions?

    Mine are:

    1) Assist students further in their organization. They have student binders, but I need to check them more often.

    2) Reformat my class lectures to be more interactive and include more discussion. Implement better note taking strategies, as well as processing strategies.

    3) With my freshman, I need to do more frequent writing and formal discussion.

    4) My AP students and Freshman need more practice with DBQs and primary sources.

    5) Further refine the way I handle course readings, particularly the way the students respond to the readings.

    6) My AP students need less lectures and more class activities and projects.

I will be doing student teaching beginning in February.

    My resolutions are
    1) to be the best ST I can to the best of my abilities
    2) get my credential
    3) be determined to get a position for the fall, nevermind the economy

I have a student teacher. My resolution is to prepare him to feel confident about running his own classroom next year.

I'm moving from repeat Algebra I to Geometry & Algebra II. One of my favorite things about block is that we start all over next week. Tuesday is like the first day of school without all of the normal first day paperwork :) My resolutions are to be more organized this time, to keep up with grading more, and to make my copies ahead of time (not the morning of...)

I keep the same kids all year and second semester is always more difficult than the first, especially during this stretch up to spring break. My resolution is to stay as enthusiastic and organized as I was first semester. I tend to get into a slump this time of year, so my goal is to not let that happen!

    --Be more organized
--Review procedures, make them as clear as possible and change anything that isn't working well
--Incorporate more technology in to lessons
--Get a new reading program under way for struggling readers
--Evaluate the types of assessments that I am using
    --Incorporate classroom volunteers more
