7th self-contained Special Ed. Looping with my kids up from 6th. :)

It will be my 3rd year of teaching. I have had a new grade each year, including a year of student teaching. Some day I'll teach the same thing twice!

Moving by choice from 4th to Gifted 5th. I taught fourth grade for nine years, and this will be my first year in fifth grade.

I forgot to mention I am teaching all subjects in gifted 5th, also. Last year, I taught just language arts, science, and social studies. This year, math comes back into the equation-- no pun intended. ;)

2004-2008: Fourth grade (taught all subjects, though we switched classes and I always taught the advanced reading. In my second year, I taught advanced math and LOVED it.)
2008-2012: Advanced fourth grade (self-contained, all subjects)
    2012-2013: Fourth grade (L.A. Sci, S.S.)
2013-2014: New school, fifth grade gifted (self-contained, all subjects)

Nope. Evidently k-3 are being departmentalized.

Fine. But I wish I had known before planning and purchasing.

I am director of a preschool in Riverside County that offers high quality preschool education so my concern would be to maintain a perfect balance of academic and social instruction that could provide the child a solid academic and developmental foundation.

Last year I taught PreK3, this year I'll be in PreK4! :D I've also taught Kindergarten so it's great to see the ranges of child development.

I'm moving to 4th. I've taught 2nd, 3rd, and 6th, so this grade is completely new for me.

K-6 Reading intervention. Last year I did all the grades by myself, but this year I'm splitting the grades with another reading teacher that was hired so I'm not sure which grades I'll have yet.
