I am reentering education after being out of the profession for a few years. I have several questions about licensure renewal.
I worked several part time jobs until my children graduated high school.
1 In this process, I took a CDL (Commercial Drivers License) class through the Community College Workforce Alliance connected to J Sargeant Reynolds CC and John Tyler CC. This was a 160-hour course that granted 16 CEUs Can I apply this to any of the 8 options that counting toward my 180 points?
    2. I also took a Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) course. This course was 135 hours long and I took and passed my NACE exam and obtained my CNACan I apply this to any of the 8 options that counting toward my 180 points? license. I have kept this license up to date, renewing it each year. Can I apply this to any of the 8 options that counting toward my 180 points?
    3. I joined a professional group in my area called Career Prospectors. This is a professional job networking and educational group which offers support to job seekers. The group offers education for job seekers in the form of weekly classes. I joined the training team and developed a class on Google Docs and Google Drive. I have a 20-page document that combines the class notes into a tutorial format. The class is 2hours long and is offered to job seekers once a week, allowing them to develop their professional skills. Can I apply this to any of the 8 options that counting toward my 180 points?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I kind of doubt that you can use any of them, but if you have a district in mind you'd like to apply to, they probably have a certification expert you could talk to (or you could talk to the state itself, but from my experience, talking to a district is easier).

You might be able to use something you did for points. I know that VDOE allows for one out of subject content area course. Your best bet would be to talk to a licensure specialist in a local district, I can help get you in contact with one as I am guessing you are in central VA like me.

I will take all the help I can get at the moment. :) I did look back at the license and it has a date of July 1, 2012, but the letter that came with it has a date of June 4, of 2014?? (I wish I had made myself a note.) I think the June 4th date is when I had my RS endorsement added? I also looked back at the unofficial transcripts and I HAVE taken classes at the CC dated Fall or 2012. Which is close to the 5 years but should technically still count for me. (a 4 credit class and a 3 credit class) I also have two 3 credit classes for the Summer of 2012. With those classes ending in August of 2012. Again these are close but they should still count, right?

You should be able to use at least one of the classes.
