Question: Are there folks here who are already teachers, but had to take the CSET? Just wondering since I'm now applying for the credentialing program, and I wanted to know what to expect. I understand that one doesn't get hired right away (esp. since there is this budgetary constraints, etc), but maybe someone can give me some pointers on the expectations. And perhaps for those who are going through a credentialing program, what can I expect to learn from the program? A teacher once said to me that they don't really teach you how to become a teacher, but my question is, would they teach you how to teach, I hope? You see, I'm doing everything by the book, meaning that I have first taken all of the necessary exams. I haven't even subbed (sp. chk) yet. I have watched a classroom and did a little interaction with the kids, but not to a full extent. Thanks all!
