Has anyone tried a thundershirt for your dog? My large lab has some anxiety issues that have gotten progressively worse over the last month. She's getting very destructive when we leave when before she was fine being left alone for several hours. We're not really sure what has changed. If anything, she's alone LESS now that it's summer.

We are thinking of buying a thundershirt, and they get good reviews on Amazon for the most part, but I'm hoping one of you has personal experience with it.

I remember seeing a thread about this product last year. I think someone here had one and liked it. You might search the old threads and see what you come up with. Good luck with helping your fur baby with anxiety. We probably need one for our dog too. She hates storms.

    We have one for Boo.
    Our results:
Works nearly 100% of the time for thunderstorms.
Works about 50% of the time during the 4th of July.
Doesn't work at all for the trip to the vet.

Abby had really bad separation anxiety. We tried everything (didn't know about the Thundershirt back then). The thing that finally worked was adding Boo to the family.

    Yay!
It really calmed Abby to not be alone. Abby has free run of the back half of the house, but Boo likes a kennel (in the area where Abby is). Still, all of Abby's bad behavior went away once she got used to having Boo around.

I do not have personal experience but my husband and I were making fun of it at the humain society when we picked up our cats. The lady at the desk said "hey! don't knock it, it actually works!"
