    Hey guys,
I signed up to attend a teacher requirement day for April 18th. I was just wondering what should I exactly bring to this? Obviously a resume and a cover letter. Do you think I should bring some examples of my lessons plans? I am currently at my second placement for student teaching so I do not completely have my portfolio together. Also what should I wear? I'm think nice pants, a button down shirt, and a tie?

    Is it a job fair?

I always brought my portfolio to job fairs 'just in case', but I've never needed it. There are just too many people and not enough time.
I always wore a suit. And comfortable shoes are a must since you will be standing in line all day.

I assume you meant recruitment rather than requirement?

Regardless, I brought a mini-portfolio with me that had a resume, some sample lessons, and reference letters. Most didn't ask to see it really, but two of the 20+ schools I talked to, did... so you never know. As for dress code, I wore a full suit and tie. Better to be overdressed than under in such an occasion. Good luck.
