Well, tonight the puppy is sleeping in the kitchen! I want to leave her in the kitchen (with a doggie gate) rather than in a crate all day when I go back to school. She is such a little dickens! She gets into everything!

Hopefully, she'll stop whining soon so I won't feel so guilty!

This is what we have done since we got our puppy in May. DH feels guilty putting him in a smaller space (like a crate). We make sure he has plenty of water and his favorite toys. Usually, he ends up going under the desk in the attached office and sleeping the whole time!

:peace: Okay, I couldn't take the whining anymore, so after I took her outside for a walk, I put her in her crate. No more whining! I guess it will take a while for her to get used to the kitchen. Doesn't help that I'm a sucker!

I got a 2 yr old lab from the Lab Rescue in May. She is the sweetest dog I have ever seen! I have just finished the therapy dog training class with her. I hope to eventually get her certified for READ (Reading Education Assistance Dogs). Getting a grown dog is wonderful! She was already housebroken and knew basic commands.
