We are on the line of demarcation between average temps/average precip. and average temps/very wet. I'm thinking lots of snow and/or ice. Hope it comes after Christmas! We don't have a single day off between Christmas and Easter.

Sooooo... thinking about hanging the outside Xmas lights before the snow & cold sets in. I just hang them...they don't go on (except for testing) until after Thanksgiving.

Smart move....... we may just do that...... But we have to use timers. We spend most all of December and the early part of January in Florida. It's great to be with my wife's family but sort of sad not having a "White Xmas."

I've done it in the past. I started putting them up early...one year my neighbor came over & was looking at me like what are you doing? But they were up and I wasn't freezing!!! We use remotes!!! LOL!!!
They are saying we have an 80% chance of a white Xmas this year. I remember visiting my gparents at Xmas time in Florida...it does seem weird with no snow!!!

Sooooo...... I spent one of the most beautiful days imaginable .... in my jeep ... with just my wife and 3 yr old Lab.

We explored a VERY remote canyon in Utah. We planned it as a "day" trip but took sleeping bags, water for several days and tons of food. It was that remote and "breaking down" without a lot of preparation would have been disastrous. All the topo maps I prepared (from the computer) were very accurate......... Never saw another person or vehicle all day......... Glad to be back in front of the fireplace. Life is good........ Hope everyone had a great day!!!...... Major.......:)
