@whizkid and @futuremathsprof I will have my Tennessee admin license in the next couple of weeks. You guys played a big role because you helped me apply there, when I had not passed for my state (needed 163 and got 161). Our original thread started on page 7. I wanted to reach back to you guys and say thanks, because I did not know where to turn, at the time. I will be applying for AP jobs in the spring. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!

Yay!!! I’m so excited for you!

Now, you owe it to yourself to go and get that admin position. I can’t wait to get mine and get a VP position. Congratulations!

This is such wonderful news. :)

I now have my administrator license for the state of Mississippi. My three year journey is complete.

Do you plan to apply to schools outside your private schools once you have your admin credential?

I plan to stay at my private school, but may branch out if I see greater opportunities elsewhere, though it would be a tough sell as I absolutely love my current school.

I don’t see myself becoming a P until I have sufficient experience working as a VP for a few years. The salaries for VP’s at my school are fixed at $115,000, so I don’t think it would make fiscal sense for me to matriculate to another school unless I was offered more than that. And VP’s make around the 85k-90k range in my area in public schools to start, which is not good enough for me to justify relocating. I will not accept anything less than six figures for an administrative position.
