My first two years of teaching were in 5th grade, and I moved to a new school this year where I am now teaching 1st grade. For the most part everything is going well. I have really enjoyed the grade level change, have a great group of kiddos, and got really positive feedback after my first observation last week. However, I am an introvert by nature and I'm having a hard time getting to know everyone!

    I'm also an introvert.

It takes me awhile to open up to people, but once I do, I form really solid friendships an comfortable working relationships.

There are all kinds of learners, and all kinds of teachers. Just be your best self and trust that there is a place for you.
