    I agree!! :) I can't wait to watch it!

Frizz, Matthew Perry is a little heavier, but it is uncanny how much he resembles Ron Clark..or is it just my imagination?!! :D

Thanks for the info. It's such perfect timing-- that is the night before our kids come back to school, they start the 14th. Good time to be inspired a little.

I thought the same thing... he really does resemble him. If you go to Ron's website you can see him and Matthew on the set.

I am going to a workshop on August 9 that Ron Clark will be speaking at. I am very excited about it! By the time I see the movie, I should be very inspired!!

I do have a question, does Ron Clark teach anymore or does he just do speaking engagements? If he doesn't teach, I really think it is a shame, we need good male teachers in our classrooms for role models and I think he would be a good one!

:) Am thinking that maybe I should also tape it to watch during the year for those times when I need some more motivation. :)

Speaking of motivating movies...I rewatched an awesome one the other day, Guy Dowd's Molder of Dreams. It is SO amazing! One minute you are laughing so hard, and the next minute you are crying because it is so moving. Guy Doud is from Staples, MN, and was the National Teacher of the Year, in 1986, maybe. He tells the story of his life and the impact some special teachers made in his life, and then he challenges all of us, teachers and nonteachers, alike, to reach out and touch the lives of those around us. He is outstanding!!

Well his website has information about his new school, so I guess he will teach there or is just running the school.

I heard him last fall in our district training Thanksgiving week. AWESOME speaker and entertainer! He is not teaching in the classroom anymore, but he is running a group of schools he started, from what I recall.

Be prepared for the workshop...he is very high energy and actually got on some peoples' nerves. NOT MINE, THOUGH! I love enthusiastic, sincere speakers, and he has some incredible stories to share! (He'll also autograph books; you can buy them there, or take your own, like I did.)

Ron is opening up his own school, The Ron Clark Academy, this fall in Atlanta, Georgia. He will be teaching 5th grade AND doing speaking engagements throughout the year. You can learn more about his school, his upcoming movie, and ask him questions through his website, www.ronclark.info/

I bawl at that movie over and over again. It is SO beautiful. I recommend it to every teacher who hasn't seen it. That movie was a gift from my best friend for my college graduation.

I am also REALLY excited about this movie and can't wait to watch it!
