You people always have the most brilliant ideas and I need a few. :)

I am in charge of planning a lesson/activity for the whole school on respect. Students will be in mixed grade level groups (K-5) of about 15-20 students. It will be in January. I thought about using the book We Are All Alike/We Are All Different with some activity to go with it, but I'd love to hear any ideas you all have!
    Thanks in advance!

I just found a freebie lesson plan at the elementary level about good citizenship - and it included respect. If you'd like, I can email it to you --just PM me with your email addie, and I'll shoot you a copy!

Something we did in my class was discuss what respect was, and then talked about who they respected in life. They then drew a picture of that person, and wrote a sentence about why they respected them.

I make a big T chart and we write down what respect looks like (waiting in line, etc) and sounds like (please, congrats, etc)
