Report Card Comments - year end

    I tend to write comments the same length and detail that I do for the other 3 report cards (I only have 3 little lines, our cards are still hand-written). Especially for parents I don't see very often, they are really looking for something that tells them about their child. Each comment is different and I think gives insight on what the child's strengths and weaknesses are.

    Just think if your principal's evaluation at the end of the year just said "have a nice summer" - is that really feedback?

    I agree, KinderCowgirl. The students have just completed the 4th quarter (depending on how your grading periods are set up), and kids and parents are entitled to feedback about their progress - just like the other grading periods. I wouldn't like feedback from my principal on only 3/4 of my work.

    Plus, as a parent, I have to say - I find the feedback informative and a benefit to goal-setting for the next year.
