Over at Education Wonks, people are discussing what makes a person a good principal. I made a comment there, and Ed is featuring that comment in a new post. Please go there and support Education Wonks. It's the best education blog on the 'net.

Exceptional post! Thank you for expressing so clearly and eloquently what it is we need in a principal. I have worked for a few who should have this wallpapered all over their office!

Wow. This is so true... It is great to know what we need as a principal. Thanks. I think I am going to share it with my colleagues.

Cza, the answer to your question can be found in the original post and comments.

Someone on that site insists that a good principal doesn't need to be a classroom teacher or have teaching experience at all. Someone then commented and asked if the principal was SUPPOSED to be a mentor.

    That is when I commented.

Ed's blog is the greatest place to find educational opinions!!! Please visit him often, and comment, too!
