Hello i am from VA, while looking for graduate schools, i notice that their passing scores are different from the official praxis website..
[William and Mary, George Mason]] They ask for passing scores of Reading 178, Writing 176, math 178.. BUT the passing scores from the "Current" praxis website are lower than that?(156,162,150)
    1) Maybe 3-5 yrs ago it was 178, just the university forgot to update it?
    2) Those school require higher scores for admission?
    3) what your guess?

Virginia's preferred basic-skills assessment is VCLA, which is a Pearson product; the list of accepted examinations at http://www.doe.virginia.gov/teaching/licensure/prof_teacher_assessment.pdf is entirely silent on the issue of Praxis Core. In any case, nothing prevents a selective institution from demanding higher scores than the minimum.

With that said, I infer that you're licensed in Virginia, and licensed on the strength of Praxis Core rather than VCLA. That being the case, I would recommend contacting either of those institutions' graduate program in education directly to discuss your situation with a real live person: it's not impossible that a workaround exists but hasn't been revealed by your internet search so far.

You have to do the VCLA either way for the license. I took the Praxis I ages ago and I was then in a state that didn't allow SAT substitution. I thought both were pretty easy. But, I get that some struggle.
