Oh, I'm so sorry. What were your scores? I found the website www.virtualnerd.com to be very helpful in Math. I take mine in a couple of days. Do you mind posting your scaled scores as well as total? You will get it next time!!!!

Have you tried watching YouTube videos to guide you through working different math equations ?

Where raw scores are broken down by domain but there's just one scaled score, all that matters is having collected enough points overall to pass. You have 85 raw points in hand: that's more than slightly promising.

One moral of this story is that enhancing one's strengths does also contribute usefully to a passing score.

That's what I was hoping to hear. I am praying 85 is good enough. I know some I have read on here have had less and passed. :D Seems like everything I studied for Social studies magically did not appear on the exam LOL

Those sound good! Silly question, but do they print your scores out for you, or let you write them down or something? I think my mind will be so tired I will never remember! Best of luck! Keep us posted!

I wrote it on the scratch paper given during the test to use. Then when I left the testing area the lady gave me a sticky note to transfer it to. :)

    Hi,
I took my test on Monday, I don't know if I passed or failed, Im really confused. Here are my raw scores:

    E/L 40
    Math 31
    Social Studies 40
    Science 33

Im confused because almost everybody posting in this forum had like 120-140 questions but I got between 200 to 225 (I cannot remember was so nervous). Did you get this amount of questions too.?

The Study Companion that Praxis issues for 5018, http://www.ets.org/s/praxis/pdf/5018.pdf, shows 140 questions. If you were taking 5018, FutureBilingualT, you had 140 questions. That's fairly standard for a 2- to 2.5-hour Content Knowledge test. If you had more questions, you were taking a different test with a longer test-taking window.

I just got done taking the Praxis 5018 today and it had 140 questions. Here were my raw scores

    E/L 27
    Math 27
    SS 12
    Science 13

I am debating on whether or not to sign up for the next praxis exam because
i dont know if I passed. I dont want to wait for my scores because I am on a time limit. If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it :)

I, too, just took the 5018 Praxis. Raw scores are:
    Reading. 38
    Math. 23
    SS. 12
    Science. 17
    There was 140 questions total.
Any input? I really have no idea and I really studied wrong things for Social Studies. Thank you all so much for contributing to this forum. It has been a great support for me!

    Welcome to A to Z, neeki1989.

First, a general approach: Find out whether Praxis still automatically refunds the test fee that a test taker in your position has paid "just in case" once it turns out that the test taker did actually pass the test. I don't recall whether this is still so, but a few years ago a number of Praxis takers were reporting here that the first indication they had of having passed a test on date X was that the credit-card charge they'd incurred to retake the test on date Y quietly disappeared from their credit-card statements.

Now to your case. The test has 140 questions, yes. But some questions aren't scored either for or against the test taker. So your raw-score total of 79 isn't 79/140, it's 79 out of a lower number (at the moment, it's not clear whether that lower number is 120 or 118). I'd be a fool to bet that you've passed - but I'd also be a fool to bet that you haven't.

Let us know how it goes, please.

lynteach, you have 90 raw points. Go find the posts in which people report scaled scores beside raw scores, and then tell me whether you still think you didn't pass.

Thank you, TeacherGroupie! Are you saying I can be cautiously optimistic?
