We still get up and dance whenever it comes on either of our ipod's...even when he is covered in grease working on the car or lawn mower and I am gardening...horribly sappy and romantic...haha

For the longest time, I had Rihanna's Umbrella as the ringtone for when my then-boyfriend, now-husband called. It's kind of teeny bop but meaningful... I loved it but kind of felt silly when it would ring in public!

TODAY (6-14-11) would have been my 25th wedding anniversary. When I heard the date this morning I thought "oh, yeah, go figure".

Our song was Kenny Rogers "Through the Years".

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LlWZPN7Q3c&feature=fvst

My ex picked that out. _ AT the time, it was so touching....NOW? Every line seems so ironic in how it ended up NOT surviving. (Still I think it's a wonderful song for a couple who were together for a long while before marrying - which we were - a 7.5 year courtship)

Oh.. and my ex... is a few weeks away from his 3rd wedding. (I was wife #1

"My Best Friend" by Tim McGraw

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTvxq8IfRMs

    "You stand by me
    And you believe in me
    Like nobody ever has
    When my world goes crazy
You're right there to save me
You make me see how much I have
    And I still tremble
    When we touch
And oh the look in your eyes
    When we make love

    You're more than a lover
    There could never be another
To make me feel the way you do
    Oh we just get closer
I fall in love all over
    Everytime I look at you
    And I don't know where I'd be
    Without you here with me
Life with you makes perfect sense
    You're my best friend"

That was our song from soon after we started dating. Had we not used that one, though, I would have used either "Runaway" by The Corrs or "Then" by Brad Paisley. As it was, we had our string trio play "Runaway" as our recessional song ("You Raise Me Up" was the processional). We used "I Loved Her First" by Heartland for father/daughter dance and "Waitin' on a Woman" by Brad Paisley for the anniversary dance.

Stand by Me is the song that BF and I want for our wedding. We're not sure which version we're going to use yet though.

Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle will be the song for my father-daughter dance

I can identify! My ex left 6 days after our 26th anniversary, and he always said that was "our song". I think we're better off without them, right?

    Unforgettable by Miles Davis

My best friend sang Tuck and Patti's You Take My Breath Away to an acoustic guitar accompaniment during our ceremony. BTW, this is NOT the Berlin song from Top Gun ! Hahaha

Our first dance was to Green Eyes by Coldplay.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbAZiVRG6h0
I put it on CD I made my husband when we first got serious about one another, and it's perfect b/c we both have green eyes. :)
I danced to "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw with my dad but then had the DJ sync Ohio State's fight song at the end. He loved it! Because my dad and I have been going to Ohio State games since I was in middle school. He even imitated the drum major during the whole thing. I also played "Hang On Sloopy" for him later in the night.
My husband danced to "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts with his mom.
