    Deep breath.

I'm in the process of selling my home and building a new one.

My partner is deploying next month (right after Christmas) and the house is slated to be done in February. I'll be packing up one home and setting up the other without his physical and emotional support.

The new home will be beautiful. It's going to have all the bells and whistles we want. It's in the area we want to live in. Not sure how I feel about living in an area with a Homeowners' Association, but we'll see. I have to dish out $110/month to them.

Anyway, keep me in your thoughts.

oh my gosh, crazy busy, but exciting! Good luck! Keep us posted on your new upgrades! And try to be kind to yourself during all of this - that's a lot of stressful stuff. In the end, it will all be worth it!

Congrats on the new home! The moving process, without your partner, will be crazy, but you know that you do have his emotional support. Enjoy the adventure!

Hire movers! It’s worth every penny.

Congratulations on the new house and hugs for the deployment.

    Hope all goes smoothly.

I hate moving. I’ve been in my house almost 20 years. When we moved DH into my house and sold his two years ago, we both said we would never move again. I have too much crap.

    Thank you, all!
This was a tough week, but I reminded myself that if it weren’t for the students, teachers, and parents I help each day (as high maintenance as some of them may be), I wouldn’t have the means to buy this home. I always try to find the silver lining in (most) situations.
