November door decoration

    Does anyone have any ideas for a decorated classroom door for November? I want to do my class door really cute and I can't think of anything. I teach 2nd grade. Thanks........:D

    My kids made leaf shape poems and we decorated the door with those.

    How about the students writing recipies for different favorite dishes? Those are always so cute. I love listening to the news when they are read!

    Last year my kids wrote about cooking a turkey. This is first grade class so you can only imagine how funny that was!

    Just ideas:
    Cornucopia - full of recipes on food cutouts
    Turkey - write turkey recipe on feathers
    Write about what they are thankful for

    They just filled in the blanks on the shape poem about fall.

    I'm doing a fall book bulliten board. Basically It is a sky, ground, and tree. The tree has leaves that spell out "Fall into Reading" spread out among the branches. Then I plan for the kids to write the book they read and their name (if the leaves were big enough I would include the author, but little hands write big). I plan on these leaves gently falling and piling on the ground.
