I am looking for a 5th (going into 6th) grade summer reading list. I have a few books in mind, but I haven't found a comprehensive list yet for this age group. We read Dahl, The Phantom Tollbooth, and The City of Ember series. I'm looking specifically for books that will appeal to boys. Thank you!

Oh, for the love, my links aren't working.

Google ALA summer reading and SSYRA summer reading. Both are good lists.

Fantasy seems to be a big trend right now. My boys are reading Percy Jackson, Lionboy, Guardians of Ga'Hoole, and Warriors series.

Also popular: Carl Hiassen, James Patterson (Middle School books), Andrew Clements

My district requires incoming sixth graders to read Bloody Times. They do Chasing Lincoln's Killer in 5th grade.
