I need children's literature/activities to support the following themes:

    Reading
    Animals
    Neighborhood at Work
    Simple Machines/Gardening
    Things that Go
    Journeys
    Games
    Folktales
    Keep Trying
    Being Afraid
    Homes

If anyone knows of any websites that would have lit and corresponding activities that would go with any of these themes, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks!

Wow! That's quite a list...what have you found on your own so far?

Why not google (or other search engine) 'childrens literature themes'....Check this site:

I was hoping this would be a way to help me do my "homework" this weekend and find children's picture books to help teach theme, or author's message or main idea.

But I'll start a new thread. Come help me, everyone!

Oh, the Places You'll Go might be a good one for journeys, depending on how you were approaching that.
