Ok so time in the hospital has me thinking about next year...positive thoughts right?

Ok so I want to do a jungle/monkey theme next year, as I stated in a different thread. I need help though.
Next year is my first official year and I need a little help with my theme.
I need different titles for bulletin boards and different things I can do with the jungle theme. I just need a few ideas that I can run home with.

Ok, so off the jungle theme I made the cutest homework folders. They have two little hand prints, one hand (the left) says "left at home" and the papers on that side stay home. The right one says "right back to school" and those are the homework papers, the ones that need to come back to school the next day. Ok I thought it was cute, I am sure done before but I think it's cute and the folders are really cute

I loooove jungle themes! They are too cute.

Anyway, I have seen bulletin boards that say:

"Swinging into third grade!" with monkeys on it, and one that said, "Going bananas for good books!"

I think it's a great idea. I'll see if I can find anything else.

I'm also doing the jungle/forest theme. For my door, I'm thinking of going with "Welcome to our jungle expedition" or something like that.

I loved all of Pooh's ideas & to add for the Writing Center - how about 'Writing Hut'?

It's too bad my room won't be big enough to incorporate all those centers so that I can steal --err borrow ideas.

How about "safari records" for the writing center?
"Gorilla nests" for a quiet area (I'm thinking bean bag chairs for reading in)
    "Going Bananas" for behavior
    "Serengeti Expedition" discovery center/science/social studies
"Toucan Times" for a newsletter or website
"The Ants Go Marching On" for math (I'm thinking leaf-cutter ants)
    "Jungle Tour Guides" for helpers
I'm also thinking of a Kapok tree too, but I just like them :haha:

That's all that pops into my mind right now.

I did a "We're bananas for first grade" bulletin for back to school next year. I drew these huge swinging monkeys and made big banana trees to put up on the board. I got a lot of compliments on it. I have a picture somewhere that I'll have to find. I think it is on my school computer.

I love your idea for the "left" at home and "right" back to school :) I think that is an idea I will have to borrow!
