What is a 10 day notice in an IEP?
Jan 18, 2017
Special education teachers are required to give the parents 7-10 days notice about an upcoming IEP meeting. This gives the parents time to arrange work schedules if need be, think of any questions or concerns, review their child's grades, etc.
However, if the parent agrees you can meet with less than 10 days notice. I sometimes have to do this when snow messes with our schedule.

Texas requires a 5 day notice; however, many times it is far more in advance than that!
