I am so proud of myself. I decided that I would weed out my bulletin board sets and "file" accordingly.

I have two boxes (one for holidays and the other for themes) that are used for the sets. I numbered each of the "files" in one of the boxes and then I typed out what was in that file.
For example: 1. Thanksgiving - turkey, Pilgrims & Indians
    2. Christmas - Nativity set, Gingerbread set.
    3. Valetine's Day - Precious Moments, Giant Heart

I laminated my list and taped to the box. It is so easy to scan and pull out what I need.
I should have thought about posting small index type pictures of the board sets, but I didn't even think of that til now!

I am so proud of myself; it only took my 7 years to do something about my "mess"; haha:lol:

    Love this site,
    Sandra

Wow what a better plan than I have. I have one of those bulletin board boxes, with the file folders. In it I have stuff that is laminated, stuff that is to big to be laminated, and well more stuff. I cannot find anything! :D

What a good idea, I do plan on making one more trip to Office Max to laminate some maps I bought on Ebay......sounds like I need a list too..........

Of course I am sure you don't mind if I steal your idea, do you?

Of course, I don't mind, Wldywall, that's why we're all here...to share ideas! I'm flattered! :hugs:

Seems like we have the same storage boxes and folders!
I just numbered mine with a marker.

I use large brown envelopes to put the bulletin board parts and label the outside with the title of the board. It's easy to flip through the envelopes looking for the season or title you want. The envelopes come in some really big sizes.

I use those ziplock big bags & sort according to subject. Now I am hoping to beg, borrow, or steal a flip chart holder to hold them on.

I seriously weeded out the mess, then threw the rest behind the file cabinet. Now I just leave my boards blank with a little sign on them that says "under construction".

OK I really did weed them out and then sorted them into two groups, "cute" and "educational". I put them in some large picture boxes that I got at a photo frame shop, then put them behind the file cabinet.

...and left the "under construction" signs up.

:hijack: WOW-You are allowed to display Pilgrims, Indians and the Nativity in your room? I think that's great, myself. My niece teaches in a district which does not allow anything that might offend somebody.:( She is reduced to pumpkins and snowmen.

I work in a private Christian school; maybe that's why there's not been a problem.

We're not supposed to use "Halloween/witch, Easter bunny" bulletin boards.

I have a lot of bigger BB stuff and I get some of those BB storage bags or use the big bags from the teacher supply store. I hang them on hangers and put them on a portable clothes rack in my make-shift closet (A former time-out room).

Sorry everyone; I'm trying to post my photos; I have downloaded them (2) to PHOTOBUCKET.com

I'm not computer savvy; :woot: so this is really hard for me to do; if anyone can tell me what to do; I was hoping to copy & paste, etc...

I purchased my second bulletin board bag; I really love these things!
