    Hello all,
I know we've had this thread before, but how do I remove permanent marker from laminated posters??? We used permanent markers on a couple posters but only because I thought I could clean it with something and reuse it for this year.
Can anyone help me with this???

You can also take a dry erase marker and write over it and erase immediately! It works great! I did it to my locker tags that had been up all year and it worked great. For best results, use a new dry erase marker and erase right away. I did little chunks at a time!
    Good Luck!

Have you tried writing over it with a dry erase marker? I know that works on the white board.

Aerosol hair spray or nail polish remover will usually work too.

I agree with those who say get a very inky dry erase marker and go over it. Then immediately erase it. Do it a few times. I get sharpie marker off all the time doing this.

I do this also. Makes me wonder about the toxicity of those markers at times.

My mentor teacher taught me about nail polish remover. But magic eraser works too. Everyone has got it right. :)

If all else fails there's a product @ Wal-Mart called Oops! in the hardware department. It gets off absolutely everything.

My friend uses Comet w/bleach and wets it. It comes right off. I brought all my stuff home this summer to use it. I watched her do it and it came off immediately.

You know that very stinky spray that is used to clean white boards? That gets off the permanent marker instantly... if the smell doesn't make you pass out first. I use this to clean the numbers off the desk that I writ in perm. marker.

GOO GONE, I just cleaned all mine last week, works great. It is also the perfect thing to have in your classroom for when you come across a stain that won't go away. You hardly need any and it doesn't require a lot of effort to erase the writing.
