I use it in my class as a whole group game. I have some of those jeopardy like games from lakeshore and we use it with that. I haven't really used for much else. It is good to see her can go first to answer a question, sometimes when they call out an answer it's hard to tell who said it first. Kinda eliminates argument and makes it fair.

My kids love eggspert. I use it to review for tests. It's alot of fun. I usually just vary the type of game I use with it to keep it interesting.

I use it also. Students are grouped and take turns at the Eggspert. They love it. I use it during review.

I use it probably once a month to review skills, play games, and center time activities. We all love it!

My students LOVED playing Eggspert last year! We used it a lot at the end of the year to review for state testing. I put them in groups and we went through the released questions! I loved it to because it eliminated the "I knew it first!" complaints! Awesome!

I'd like to use it, but it's like $55. At least in the catalog I saw.

Yeah, I think mine was $49. I was worried about the cost, but it's worth it, in my opinion. I think it will last a while. Also, the kids really get into the review games we play with it. We turn off the lights and they think they're on a real game show!

Does it make noise? And if it does, is there a way to turn it on silent?

As a special education teacher I love Eggspert because you can set it for 2 settings: where each student "buzzes" in, the other as random selection so that the lower level learners get a chance as well. Great investment. I would use as small group centers/review game. Not to be used (in my opinion) with a large group. Cheers!

    Uclalum

Eggspert is on sale RIGHT NOW on amazon for only $37.89. That is the best price I've ever seen for it.

I just ordered one (school paid) and like stated in most posts I plan to use it as a review tool before tests. I have wanted one for a long time but couldn't get myself to pay for it out of pocket. Although the Amamzon deal listed above is a great deal.

Thanks, Rainstorm! I am going to try to see if it pops up on ebay a little cheaper. If it doesn't, I am going to buy it from Amazon because it is 37.89.

I'm hoping that somebody just grows tired of theirs and decides to sell it for like $25. I know that I have several things that work fine but that I am tired of and going to sell on ebay next week.

Anybody want to sell me their expert? C'mon, you know you don't want it anymore.

I lucked up yesterday! I went to my room to work and there was a HUGE pile of stuff on my desk and in my chair. I started looking through it and hidden at the bottom was Eggspert! A teacher who is transferring to another school sent it to me because it was a school funds purchase!

She also gave a me big paquetry (sp?) set.

Yes!! :) Eggspert is incredible. I have used it combined with PowerPoint games, and the kids even begged to use it while waiting for the bus. They would have multiplication. spelling, and random trivia contests with one another every once in a while.

    It's worth every dollar...

And then maybe eventually during morning work, I will let a few students who are done with work use it without the sound.
