On the cute side, my stinker kid who is classically bothering a little girl (clearly lacking better skills to express his affections) brought her a rose today.

It's crazy in high school, too. Stuffed animals and candy and flowers everywhere!

We had a "paint it blue" day at my school where we asked everyone to wear a blue shirt. See blue is our main color and red is that of our rivals. And painting it red is almost blasphemy in this school... Even the valentine's are blue!

Whereas here, not only are we on mid-winter break starting today, but we had snow days the rest of the week. Ha.

Some of these deliveries were outrageous. I understand wanting to treat your child to something special but some were obviously just to outdo the neighbors.

I would be okay with the school banning outside deliveries.

At our school, any items larger than will fit in a backpack or purse have to be kept in the discipline office until the end of the day. Parents get so angry because they make deliveries then their kids don't even get the stuff until after school, so no one sees it.

I’m so glad my four-day weekend started today so I don’t have to deal with post-Valentine’s Day festivities. It’s my least favorite holiday as I get creeped out by romance, lol.

Our kids didn’t get their deliveries until the end of the day either. It’s still enough drama that I’d like to see the end of it.
