I feel like I should already know the answer to this question! When doing Literature Circles, how do you monitor their progress and comprehension?

I'm not teaching yet, but I love rubrics. They are a simple and fast way to assess students. I would suggest giving them a copy of the rubric beforehand so they know how they will be graded. You could also do a looks like/sounds like activity as an introduction to lit circles if they have never done them before.

Is there a way I can share Word Documents? I tried copying and pasting mine directly here, but the tables lost their formatting and they were all jumbled.

For now, if you would like to see them, just send me a PM and I would be happy to e-mail them to you.

    Hope that helps!
