Try to go with the place where you like the people, trust me! I spent two years living 200 miles away from all my friends and family and the first year without friends at my school was really hard! I know it's not as far away as you're going, but I had a really hard time! Friends at school will make all the difference. Also, do you have any idea what the demographics of the staff are like? Are they close to your age? My first job I taught with a lot of young and single people and made my best friends there. In fact, I just moved back and took a job back in that district. My last job the people were older and/or married with young kids and didn't have time to hang out or do anything with me. It was hard for me b/c I didn't have any friends in the area.

All that said, I understand that you don't want to be without a job and aren't sure about job #1. As others have said, call them and tell them you have a job offer and were wondering what their timeline for the decision is.

Hope this helps! Sorry so long! :)
