Our entire school is covered in germs. Kids are dropping like flies.

We have Flu A, Flu B, mono, and strep running rampant. We were closed for a week for snow, but nobody cleaned the building. My team cleaned our rooms with Lysol and Cavicide, but it hasn’t helped. Yesterday I was diagnosed with Flu A and Flu B, so I’m out until Monday. Doctor told me to come back Monday if I hadn’t been fever-free for 24 hours.

Anyone else dealing with more illness than usual?

I usually have one to two total kids absent out of all my sections, but this week, it’s been six to ten each day.

    Hope you feel better soon!

I'm doing alright. But I also fear bringing germs home so I'm big on handwashing and we write on our desks daily so that we absolutely have to wipe them down...

We've yet to have a big epidemic.

Yep. I had strep earlier this week. Started with high fevers for 3 days straight. It was horrible.

The flu virus doesn’t really live that long outside the body.

Our main issue is the kids don’t wash their hands enough and touch their mouths. They are also really bad about sharing water bottles.
