I have seen a few ways to fold an 8-11 sheet of paper so that kids can write on it and use it as a study guide. A science teacher I knew used to use it and her students would make study guides for their science studies. I can not remember how to do it. She had taken a class and learned it. I just want a few ways to create study guides that are different and fun for the kids to use. Does anyone use these or know how to do it? Thanks so much!

Look at the materials that Dinah Zike has in her books. She has tons of foldable ideas.

    Thanks

Thanks, I did check her site but unless I take a class I won't even be able to see her foldables. Right now I just need a couple of foldables to help brighten up and make using a study guide fun.

Once you click on the Dinah Zike link, go to the bottom and click on manipulatives. At the bottom of that page are some examples of her foldables.

    Good luck.

I made lap books a couple times last year during our science unit. They are most commonly used in homeschooling-just google them!

Try The Busy Teacher's Cafe site. There is a link to foldables.
