Does anyone have any ideas for halloween costumes for our team of 6 teachers. We teach 6th grade. One year we were a sports team, another we were The Care Bears (kids had no idea who the care bears were). We have also gone years without costumes. We have a few new team members so I'd like to suggest we dress together--but have no ideas! Thanks in advance

One of our teams is doing Wimpy Kids for book character day. One year we did our own academic super hero characters. Weather Woman, Math Wizard, Spelling Man ,Book Fairy,Captain Punctuation, etc.Easy and cheap-we each did our own silly costumes and made cardboard shields with our names. I think 6 or 7 of us did it.

How about Thing 1, Thing 2, all the way up to 6. It's a red t shirt. You could probably order them online.

When I taught 2nd, we were "Pinkalicious"- emeralicious, purplicious, etc...

I'm in 6th now and we're struggling to agree on a theme. I'm not a big dress up person and I don't have money to spend, so I may not even participate. (Because they currently want a big theme that would be costly for me.)

Last year my team and I dressed in a pac man theme. I was ms. pac man, my para made a shirt that looked like the fruit/dots that pac man eats, and my other teammates were the ghosts. All of our costumes were handmade for free or a couple of bucks for fabric (I used cardboard for mine- less than 2 dollars!). I was worried that the kids wouldn't know what ms. pac man was, but apparently it's now a tv show? It was a HUGE hit. The kids loved it! We even pulled up the pac man theme song on a cell phone and carried it around with us during the parade.

We're looking for ideas for this year too. We're the only school in the district that still celebrates Halloween, and it's kind of a big deal at my school, haha. I'm interested to hear others' ideas!

We did pirates last year and it was awesome. Super easy too because you can make a costume with stuff you already have (black pants, striped shirt, scarf/bandana, hoop earrings, etc).

We did witches one year. Another year we had capes and t-shirts with our subject and " teacher by day, superhero by night".

Once we chose a partner and did famous good guy / bad guy combos.

We dressed as babies once, which was silly but fine.

My whole school did "twin" day for Spirit week. All of the teachers wore jeans, a white shirt, and a scarf that someone had ordered from oriental trading.

One of our grade 8 teachers is going to be Tinkerbell (totally her personality!), so the rest of the Grade 7 and 8 teachers may be various Peter Pan characters.

We did Holes one year. Most of us were prisoners, but one teacher was Kissin' Kate. What are they reading right now? Can you tie it in with that?

We did Disney last year-I was Tink and the other two teachers were Maid Marian (Robin Hood) and Minnie. We're doing it again this year because my family costume is Mary Poppins-I think Maid M is going as Elsa this year and the other teacher is going to be Minnie again.
