Does it Look Bad To Miss Parent's Night?

    Amy, if that poster was in the hospital, I would think that the three hours should have been considered covered, but I don't find it wrong that the teacher should have to contact parents once back at work. Nobody asked her to have her own Parent's Night, only to be in contact with her student's parents. I would think that could be accomplished via email or phone.

    I will say that nobody does hyperbole better than you, but we're teachers, so your lashes at whoever are kind of wasted on us.

    It was supposed to be. Hyperbole. Is that allowed?

    Requiring someone to make up time because they were in the hospital is insane. I can't imagine thinking otherwise. But I won't look for a meme to underline the point.

    We don't have this at my current school but at my last school we had parents night on SATURDAY from 10am to noon! Yes, our day off. We were still expected to show up. The only person who did not have to attend was a teacher who took Saturday graduate school classes and even then she had to get a note from her teacher.
