Here's a vid I ran across. For some reason I can't paste link in directly (why is that by the way?) - but it's a video on youtube called "Different Methods to Improve Teacher Quality" by a bald guy with a goatee called dylan william.

Very interesting stuff - wondering if anyone has tried implementing any of the stuf mentioned. If so, how did it go?

I like this quote from one of his papers:
Teachers need to be able to exercise choice, to find ideas that suit their personal style, and they also need the flexibility to take other people’s ideas and adapt them to work in their own classrooms.

I believe there's a number of posts you must hit before the server will allow you to post links. It's meant to prevent spamming.

You won't have the privilege of posting links until you are a member in good standing with many posts in education forums. Please also keep in mind that no members are allowed to promote their products or services on AtoZ. Thank you.

Dylan Williams's 10 feedback techniques is fantastic. I use them quite regularly with success.

You will find the link on page 100 of the Free Resources and Links thread. Hope that helps.

That's understandable - I can imagine spam must be an issue.

Shame though as it spoils it for the rest of us. What's the criteria before anyone can start linking to external links - especially from well known sources?

I've been looking into him more and more.

I have to say I'm impressed. I often find many talks about improving teacher and stuff dumb and patronising. Pleasure to have run across this guy.

Any other major recommendations? In particular things around handling different ability children in the same classroom (it's something that doesn't come naturally to me).

I think it is up to about 100 posts under your belt.
