It looks like you are a reading teacher, so I would probably go with reading instead of your last name. Maybe Reading Rules or Read about our Reading Class.

I did a newsletter this year and didn't even think of using my name. I actually gave the students some suggestions and they voted on their own name. We used our school logo and added an adjective like "tiny" to it...

    For example: The Tiny Spartans
    September Edition

    or The Little Warriors
    September Edition

    or The Magnificent Eagles
Written by: Mrs. Perezsilerio's 2nd Graders

My question, my coworker is older- could have retired a few years ago (I have nothing against older teachers) and doesn't want the work of doing a newsletter. I would have done one together but it isn't her thing. Anyway, she looks at me as being too independent and never sharing etc. But when she wants to do the same thing every year, it gets old and I would go nuts if my life were the same each year.

What do you think? Is it okay that my class does a newsletter etc? I sometimes feel bad for the students in her class. We are a small school. :thanks:

Thank you - I really like the name idea with the school mascot... As for your question - it sounds to me like the both of you are the only 2 classes in your grade in your school and IMO - if ya'll are doing the majority the same that is fine but there can be differences in your classes - your both different teachers with different styles, and I'm pretty sure it can be done without hurt feelings.

My maiden name was Biesecker and the kids got it down after like 2 days. You'll be surprised! I would never let the kids call me Mrs. B it was too informal for me
