Classroom Library Book Bins

    Hello.

    I'm working on creating an organized classroom library. Everything that I've found so far requires several plastic bins or tubs. I'm having a hard time spending around $8 for each bin.

    Does anyone use anything different than plastic bins or am I just going to have to start telling myself it's worth it because they will last a while?

    I get bins from the Dollar Store.

    In the past I've used dish bins from Target, which I believe are around $1.99. This year, I'm hoping to switch over to shoe boxes, which are at Target and cost about $5 for 5.

    I saw the same bins I buy at Lakeshore today in Michael's for like 3.99, plus they do a 15% off teacher's discount. I might have to go back and but some.

    I needed a fair amount (re-doing my library) so I ordered a bulk package of 30 from Dollar Tree (dollartree.com). I couldn't get enough from our local store.

    I just got some at my local Target in the college section. They have $3 baskets in the college section that are nice and sturdy and come in black and a really bright red color. They seem like they will last a long time, so I'm happy with them. :)

    I got all of my book bins for my library books from the dollar store. Most of them have held up pretty well. I have to replace 2 I think, that that's after 3 years of solid use.

    I bought mine at the dollar store. I have three colors: light green for nonfiction, blue and pink for fiction. My library is organized by genre.

    I also bought mine at the dollar store. I can get 3 for $1. Can't beat that!
