    Hi All,
I need a little help. Another 2nd grade teacher and I have decided to use the story Arthur's Perfect Christmas as a themed unit the week before Christmas. I was wondering if anyone has any cute ideas or lessons for this story??? Thanks for the help!:)

Well, I haven't actually read that story, but a simple project might be to have your students cut out a Christmas tree (or snow flake), then they could write about their perfect holiday on the cut out.

Maybe they could figure out what they want to give Santa as a present.

Can you type it up as a Readers' Theater?
Do lots of writing - what would they give Santa? Compare/contrast this story w/ another Arthur story...
List why it's fantasy, have them change 1-2 things to make it realistic fiction.
