I'm scheduled to take the Chemistry Praxis next week. Any last minute/week advice because I'm almost going in cold! I bought the online test to do some quick review but that's about it.

Were you a Chem major? I would definitely review organic nomenclature.

Eh, you're probably fine. I thought the test did a good job of going through a general chem book, college level of course.

Leaf through an AP Chemistry book or website.

    I would recommend http://www.chemteam.info/ChemTeamIndex.html

Just review the topics that seem rusty to you. I don't know how the Praxis compares to the test we take in Texas, but I only minored in chemistry and had little trouble with it.

UPDATE: I purchased the online practice test while registering for the test.

    I answered 80 out of 125 correct. 64%.
Not bad considering minimal study and preparation....

Passing score in my state is 150.

Congratulations! Is this to get a teaching license or are you adding another content area?

Can't say I'm surprised that you passed, Pi, but I'm delighted to congratulate you.

    Congrats!
I am also a chem engineer taking the praxis in 3 weeks. Any suggestions/surprises?
    Thanks

When you register for the test, go ahead and purchase the online practice test. Be sure to take that test at least twice. Even though the questions ar the same, at least you'll be presented with those that are similar to the real test.
