Does anyone know where I could get them? Or it would be quicker, if I could I download an audio file (of course I would purchase it).

I teach 2 preps, English 3 and English 4, and we use the Holt textbooks, 4th and 5th course. There were no audio cds for the stories, and I love using them. My P said she could find the money to pay for them, just send her a link from Amazon or Ebay, or whatever. I thought I saw some. But when I looked again, I couldn't find any.

All I need for the next 2 weeks are 2 stories, "By any other name" (Santha Rama Rau) and "The lowest animal" (Twain)

I use the Holt 2nd course (8th grade) and I have access to the textbook online with audio of the stories authors have allowed to be recorded. The site is http://my.hrw.com. You may need to enter the ISBN from the teacher's edition of the book.

Oh thank you! a teacher told me about this a long time ago, but I didn't kknow if they had the audio recordings. It hought it was just additional resources.
I actually tried to look it up, but the teacher edition books are at school, and today I forgot about it. I'll look at it tomorrow at school.

I like to use the recordings because they're reading with perfect pronunciation, so it's good for the students to hear, of course I always make sure they follow with their eyes. But it also allows me to circulate the room and keep my attention on the students, instead of looking at the text.

Librivox.org also has a lot of audio recordings of the stories in the books.

There is a cd the books are supposed to come with too. You can generate unit tests :)

I tried to register but this is what I got:

    "My Subscriptions
Although you have attempted to register, your district or school is not entitled to any books. You may either

Contact your textbook or tech coordinator.
    Purchase your product online.
    Contact customer service between 8:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. EST, Monday - Friday at (800)225-5425 or online"

This makes no sense, the district has purchased all these books! :(
