    What degree/license do you have?
What level do you work at? (elementary, middle, high?)
    Public, private, charter?

What are your main responsibilities as a librarian/media teacher?

Thank you very, very much! :)

    Former Media Specialist

Used to be a librarian at a public high school. I was fresh out of college and didn't want to be a sub.

I was in charge of the shelving the books, the labs, the teacher resources, the lamination, the morning show if there was a sub, Battle of the Books, new student orientation, Edline (online grade book) sign-ups, signing out tech carts, keeps students engaged in reading, teacher assistants, Scantron machine. I also allowed students to come before school for quiet study time and use the computers, I also let them come in for lunch (with a pass) for silent study time and use the computers.

Life was simpler than... until the end of the year when I had to track down any unreturned books.

And how does this compare to teaching if you've done that before. Less stress?
