Anyone have any suggestions? I was chosen to be a part of a needs assessment team here at my school. I have no interest in being on this team. What's a polite way to decline?

"I'm so thankful that you asked me, but I won't be able to participate right now."

"I am not able to help with that, but I know the perfect person who might be able to help."

"That is more than I can do right now, but here is what I could commit to..."

"No, thank you. I appreciate you thinking of me, though."

I wouldn’t leave any wiggle room.

I usually don’t like using internet memes, but when I do:

Thank you but I'd rather stick needles in my eyes?
